Worlds Collide: Conan the Barbarian meets Dragonero in an Epic Dark Fantasy Crossover from Titan Comics

An unprecedented storytelling event has arrived for devotees of uncompromising sword and sorcery and expansive high-fantasy mythos. Titan Comics, in partnership with Heroic Signatures, has officially launched Conan & Dragonero #2 (of 7). This breathtaking 32-page, full-color installment is currently moving fast through comic shops, bringing together two legendary warriors from completely distinct publishing histories for an absolute masterclass in narrative world-building.

Written by the seasoned creative team of Luca Enoch and Stefano Vietti, with interior art and colors handled by the exceptionally talented Lorenzo Nuti, this series is a beautifully rendered, action-packed crossover that marks a historic intersection of universes.

Stranded in Erondár: The Story So Far

The narrative shifts into high gear as Conan the Cimmerian, the ultimate icon of savage fantasy, finds himself abruptly ripped away from the familiar vistas of his native Hyborian Age. Hurled across the dimensions by sinister, unnatural forces, Conan awakens on the smoldering ash plains of Erondár—an entirely alien world marked by two moons hanging in the night sky.

After fighting his way through a terrifying onslaught of mute, bone-wielding savages known as Algents, Conan seeks refuge at a heavily fortified outpost wall. However, the outpost is completely devastated by a rogue, fire-breathing dragon—the very beast responsible for dragging Conan and his men across the dimensional rift. Following the chaos, Conan is taken prisoner and finds himself chained inside a stone cell, where he comes face-to-face with Ian Aranill, known throughout Erondár as Dragonero.

In issue #2, the tension between civilized honor and barbarian instinct boils over. Conan escapes his shackles with pure, brute force and hitches an unauthorized ride aboard Dragonero’s hot-air flying sky-ship. Despite mutual suspicion and an initial clash of steel, the Cimmerian and the imperial scout must forge an uneasy alliance. The stakes are catastrophic: they must hunt down the wounded dragon to recover a clutch of stolen magical gems, which originally served as the absolute seal binding an ancient and terrible demon back in Conan’s world.

The Ultimate Clash of Contrasting Heroes

What makes this miniseries so compelling for long-term collectors is the deep psychological contrast between the titular characters. On one side stands Conan: an uneducated barbarian of near-superhuman endurance and questionable civilized morality, who operates completely on primal instinct and harbors an unyielding hatred for all things sorcerous. On the other side stands Dragonero: a highly educated nobleman born into an esteemed lineage of dragon slayers. Drenched in the living blood of his first target years ago, Ian can hear the thoughts of sentient reptiles, yet he remains a soldier deeply tormented by moral doubt, duty, and the weight of past tactical mistakes.

The visual storytelling utilizes these character dynamics perfectly. Lorenzo Nuti’s unique artistic style balances cinematic scale with intense, gritty action, making the foreign environments of Erondár feel tangible, toxic, and fraught with ever-present danger. As the sky-ship drifts south over the Margondár mountains, the fragile peace aboard the vessel is shattered when a territorial flock of wild Wyverns descends from the clouds to attack, setting up an aerial battlefield that will test the metal of both protagonists.
