Lexington remains visually distinct.
Angela, Brooklyn, Hudson and the rest of the clan retain recognizable silhouettes even when several Gargoyles share the same page.
The flying sequences are particularly effective.
Gambone creates a real sense of movement as the clan races across the night sky and into danger around the bridge.
The city itself also matters.
Manhattan is not simply background decoration. Rooftops, streets, bridges, lights and the winter skyline reinforce the idea that New York has become the clan’s territory.

Robby Bevard’s colors give the preview a vibrant nighttime atmosphere.
Deep blues and purples dominate the winter sky while streetlights, bridge lights and illuminated windows provide warmer contrast.
