News from the Fallout: Atomic Horror from Image Comics

Get ready for a terrifying new sci-fi horror miniseries! Image Comics will release News from the Fallout this June. Critically acclaimed writer Chris Condon (That Texas Blood, Ultimate Wolverine) and visionary artist Jeffrey Alan Love (The Last Battle At The End Of The World) are teaming up for this thrilling tale set in Nevada in 1962. Star letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou will also contribute to this chilling story, which unfolds after a nuclear bomb test goes horribly wrong.

Atomic Horror Unleashed in News from the Fallout

News from the Fallout plunges readers into a dark and suspenseful world. A nuclear bomb test in Nevada during 1962 unleashes a dangerous contaminant into the atmosphere. This event triggers an apocalyptic chain reaction, forever altering the course of history. The comic’s striking ashy black and white art evokes the eerie atmosphere of classic 60s horror comics and staticky science fiction films. Fans of shows like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, classic horror comics such as The Vault of Horror, and the works of authors Stephen King and Richard Matheson will find themselves captivated by this six-issue miniseries.

The story centers around the patrons of an isolated diner located in the aptly named ‘Atomic Alley’ in Nevada. These unsuspecting individuals find themselves besieged by unimaginable horrors unleashed by the nearby atomic blast at a secret army base. Forced to flee their shattered sanctuary, the diner patrons are joined by a defector from the base, Private Otis Fallows. This unlikely group must navigate external threats and internal tensions as they journey toward the supposed safe haven of Sin City itself: Las Vegas.

The Creative Minds Behind News from the Fallout

Chris Condon expressed his long-standing passion for this project. He is thrilled to see News from the Fallout finally come to life, thanks to the incredible artistic vision of Jeffrey Alan Love, whose unique style perfectly complements the story. Condon is also excited to collaborate with letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. He hopes readers will be ready for a thrilling and unique ride unlike anything else they’ll find on comic shop shelves.

Jeffrey Alan Love shared his positive experience working with Chris Condon, praising his distinct writing voice. Love feels this collaboration has amplified both of their artistic expressions, resulting in something truly special.

News from the Fallout #1 (of 6) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 25. The first issue will feature a cover by Jeffrey Alan Love (Lunar Code 0425IM295) and a variant cover by Jacob Phillips (Lunar Code 0425IM296).
